Fused Glass Workshops in Colorado

Glass is a world unto itself.

I walked into a world of glass, color and light at Crystal Glass Studio in Carbondale Colorado in 1978 and I never really walked back out. I could not imagine then how it would direct the course of my life. Almost fifty years later, glass still delights me — glass has a mind of its own, and figuring out how to work with it is what keeps me coming back into the studio. You don't need experience to start. In two hours, you can cut, layer, and fire your first piece. In five days, you can begin to paint with light. Either way, you'll walk out with something in your hands that never existed before. Come see what it's like. There's room for you here in my studio.

I travel to studios and arts centers to teach fused glass — bringing 45 years of experience, a master lineage, and a teaching philosophy built on helping artists trust their own voice.

Let’s Talk!

Original Work

On a good day, my work begins outside... in the cool mountain air with the light sparkling like a ruby on a single dewdrop. The day unfolds from there — the magic of a light rain among the aspens settling into my soul, feet in a cold stream, stacking rocks. By evening, I'm chasing the colors and shapes in pastel that waited all day for the light to drop low enough to be revealed. I begin to see everything as if it were made of glass. I fall asleep dreaming of color.

It doesn't end there. It all comes back with me and into the studio.

Every piece I make is a reflection of an internal landscape: what I'm carrying, what I'm releasing, what truth I’m finding in the gentle touch of the fading light.
